A 28-year-old woman presented with a history of inflammatory disorders, experiencing complications from a young age that led to significant foot deformities. She exhibited severe hallux valgus and multiple crossover toes, which severely impacted her mobility and overall quality of life. She was refused treatment for hallux valgus and cross over toes leading to significant disability and foot pain. She presented to us with above said compaints at Dr. Navroze Orthoinnovate Clinic in Mohali,where Dr. Navroze Kapil who specilize in such complex cases assured her that she will be fine.


Clinical Presentation

The patient's condition included:

  • Severe hallux valgus deformity

  • Multiple crossover toes

  • Difficulty walking

  • Increased risk of ulcers and falls

Surgical Intervention

To address these severe foot deformities, the patient underwent surgery, which included:

  • Correction of hallux valgus

  • Fusion of the first metatarsophalangeal (MTP) joint

  • Correction of multiple crossover toes

The procedure was completed in a single session, aiming to restore foot function and reduce pain from these deformities.

Postoperative Outcome

Following surgery, the patient's foot achieved a plantigrade position, significantly improving her ability to walk and engage in daily activities. She expressed satisfaction with the results and the increased comfort in her feet.
